It has Arrived...

Well the Evaluation Kit is here. It is a quite a neat package of a DVD style box containing the evaluation board, a CD containing the Keil compiler and documentation, a USB cable and a standard 20 way ARM debug interface cable. Have installed the Compiler and run up the board. So far all seems to work well! The boys were fascinated with the little demo game that ran up and were rather dissapointed when it got replaced with the timer demo...

In the Beginning...

This is a Blog about my entry in the Luminary Micro/Keil/Circuit Cellar Competition. This competition is to design an application that uses the Luminary Micro Stellaris EKK-LS3S811 evaluation board to do something interesting and demonstrate the capabilities of the Microcontroller. It is to use the Keil development enviroment.

I intend to use the board to decode lossless audio from a DVD/CD drive and pump it out over some sort of Audio interface with a few other bits and pieces like a real time display and a remote control input for an IR controller. Is that possible? Not sure... may well not be (at least with only one board) so wait and see...
